I began crafting with wood in 2016 while living in Oregon, inspired by all of the artistic souls surrounding me in Hood River. Pyrography was picked up while I was recovering from ACL and Meniscus surgery, and I quickly became obsessed with the details that go into and come out of manipulating fire and woodgrain.
I was never really confident with drawing growing up - I was teased a lot for how my drawings looked so I invested my interests elsewhere. Pyrography has opened the door for me to revisit drawing, and I have found it to be quite therapeutic.
I mostly make pieces and portraits as I feel them, but am available to do custom burnings upon request. I work with birch, poplar, maple, bass, walnut, african paduak, gourds, and leather. Price varies on size and detailing.
